One of Alabama's top signees in the class of 2013 is expected to be academically cleared in the coming days. Multiple recruiting websites are reporting that Monaca, Pennsylvania wide receiver Robert Foster, who signed with the Crimson Tide in February, is expected to be academically cleared by the NCAA sometime next week, allowing him to enroll for the university's second summer session.
BamaOnline reports that Foster, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver rated the No. 1 receiver in the nation by 247Sports, is still awaiting official word on the results of a class but cites sources close to Foster saying that the elite star is expected to be cleared next week in time for summer registration at Alabama on July 2. TiderInsider and TideSports.com also confirmed that Foster is expected to be cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse.
Foster, who played in the Under Armour All-American Game in January, chose the Crimson Tide over the home-state Pitt Panthers after a senior season that included 756 yards and 14 touchdowns as a receiver as well as 549 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.
