The Rehobeth Softball Team has been a pipeline to junior college programs across the state since Summer Chandler arrived as head coach. That trend continued on Friday, with two more Rebels signing to continue their softball careers at the next level.
Calen Turner and Mallory Smith have both signed letters of intent to play for Chattahoochee Valley Community College, beginning in 2014. Turner will play third base for the Pirates, while Smith will spend time at catcher.
Turner hit .290 as a junior at Rehobeth, with a .489 on base percentage and 16 stolen bases. Smith hit .297, with a .933 fielding percentage behind the plate.
