The Alabama football program is off to a fast start by reeling in their 8th and 9th commitments in the class of 2013 in the past 24 hours.

The Crimson Tide received their eighth commitment for the class from Marietta, Georgia in running back Tyren Jones, according to a report from BamaOnline's Charles Power.

The 9th commitment came today ,when Huntsville High offensive lineman Grant Hill announced his decision through an interview with ESPN's Greg Ostendorf. Hill is a 6-foot-5, 330-pound guard.

Jones chose the Tide over offers from Georgia, Clemson, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee among others and is the second running back to commit to the Tide's 2013 class.

Jones rushed for 2,375 yards and 45 touchdowns during his junior season leading Walton High School to the Class AAAAA state title game in Georgia.

Both Hill and Jones were in Tuscaloosa last weekend for the Tide's Junior Day recruiting event.
