One of the state's top tennis players has made her college choice. Northview senior Brooke Blackmon has signed a letter of intent to play at Erskine College in South Carolina.
Blackmon is the number one ranked player in the state in the 18-year-old age division. She posted a 13-0 record as a junior, before falling in the second round of the state tournament.
Now, Blackmon is ready for a new challenge at a much higher level of competition.
"I've been working hard for the past four years for a scholarship, and now... I've only played tournaments for college recruits, and now I don't know what to do.
"I'll just keep practicing and working out and training. That's all you can ask for is to work hard."
