TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - After winning the final two games of its home Southeastern Conference series against Auburn, the No. 8-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (24-11, 10-5 SEC) will host the Jackson State Tigers (23-15, 6-9 SWAC) on Tuesday, with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Jackson State comes into Tuesday's game having lost all three games of a SWAC series at Alabama A&M this past weekend.

This week, the Tide is ranked No. 8 by Collegiate Baseball, marking the highest ranking in that poll since earning a No. 10 ranking in May of 2009. Alabama remains in the top-10 in the Baseball America poll, earning a No. 8 ranking this week. It's the first time Bama has been in the Baseball America top-10 since the final poll of the 2006 campaign, and the highest by Baseball America since a No. 4 ranking on June 5, 2006. UA is ranked No. 11 by Perfect Game USA, No. 17 by the NCBWA and No. 19 in the USA Today Coaches poll.

The Tide will play a second midweek game when it travels to Birmingham, Ala., to take on the UAB Blazers (24-12, 10-5 C-USA) on Wednesday night, with first pitch at 6:30 p.m. CT at Regions Field.
