No. 2 Seminoles' Freeman closing in on 1,000 yards

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida State running back Devonta Freeman is on the verge of accomplishing what only five others have in school history -- rush for 1,000 yards. The junior from Miami is 192 yards shy with three games remaining.
Florida (4-7) hosts Florida State (11-0) Saturday.
Warrick Dunn was the last Seminole back to reach 1,000 yards, and that was in 1996. He's responsible for three of the seven 1,000-yard seasons at Florida State.
Freeman isn't focused on the number, but says, "I'd love to get it."
Coach Jimbo Fisher has refused to chase individual accolades. His team is undefeated and two victories away from a likely berth in the BCS championship game. Fisher says, "If it's in the context of us winning and being successful, I think it's a great accomplishment."
