No. 2 Florida St could get QB Maguire early snaps

TALLAHASEE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher may get quarterback Sean Maguire extra snaps against struggling Idaho Saturday.
Maguire played the entire second half last week in another blowout win by the second-ranked Seminoles. Fisher has been able to give backups playing time throughout the season because of lopsided victories.
But it could be especially important for Maguire.
The redshirt freshman needs the work in case Jameis Winston is charged at the end of an ongoing sexual assault investigation. Winston could be suspended, leaving Magurie as the starting quarterback for an undefeated Florida State team closing in on a berth in the BCS championship game.
Idaho (1-9) could have trouble slowing down Florida State. The Vandals have the second-worst scoring defense in the FBS and allows 45.7 points per game.
