TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- The Florida State Seminoles control their own destiny for the first time all season and are four games from a berth in the BCS championship game.
Coach Jimbo Fisher is focused on Syracuse this week, but his program is No. 2 in the Top 25 and the BCS standings for the first time in 2013. This is Florida State's highest Top 25 ranking since being No. 1 on Oct. 1, 2000.
The Seminoles appear to have the easiest remaining schedule of the four undefeated teams that have the best chance of playing in Pasadena.
No. 3 Ohio State and Florida State are the only two of the four unbeaten without a ranked team still on the schedule. Alabama can go wire-to-wire as the No. 1 team if it wins out.
