Miami Banged Up on Eve of FSU Game

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Miami is still preparing for Ryan Williams to be its starter on Saturday night, when the Hurricanes play host to No. 12 Florida State.

However, Miami is nowhere near ready yet to rule Stephen Morris out for that game. Morris sprained his left ankle in last week's loss to North Carolina. He has not practiced since.

Florida State knows its quarterback for the rivalry game, of course. EJ Manuel is coming off a career-best 439-yard, four-touchdown showing in last weekend's Florida State win over Boston College.

Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher says his team is preparing for the tendencies of both Williams and Morris, and has high praise for the Miami quarterbacks.
