INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Tyrann Mathieu says it's not the money he's chasing. He just wants to play football again.
The former Heisman Trophy finalist and LSU star is one of the more intriguing defensive back prospects in this year's draft. He's fast, tough and a big-time playmaker.
He's also been through drug rehab, arrested and he spent last season on the sideline after coach Les Miles booted him off the team.
And he's telling everyone who will listen at this year's annual NFL scouting combine that his troubles are behind him and that he's rededicated himself to the game after spending a year away from it.
So his mission in Indianapolis is simple: convince NFL scouts that they should give him a second chance.
