This isn't a story you hear very often. Manti Te'o and DJ Fluker once lined up against each other on opposite sides of the ball. One for Notre Dame. One for the Crimson Tide. Now the two are teammates on the San Diego Chargers. They're both rookies, but Te'o is teaching Fluker a thing or two off the field.
Fluker has had a fear of drowning ever since a close encounter at age four. He never learned how to swim. So at the rookie symposium, Te'o took Fluker under his wing and taught him.
The story says Te'o held Fluker up in the water as he taught him to kick and move his arms. After several attempts, Fluker finally got the hang of it.
