BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- It's no surprise that Tom Lehman is a big fan of the course at Shoal Creek.
Lehman enters the Regions Tradition Thursday seeking his third straight win in the $2.2 million tournament, the second of five Champions Tour major championships.
Only Hale Irwin has accomplished the three-peat at a major, having won the PGA Seniors' Championship from 1996-98.
Lehman called the course "pretty much perfect" on Wednesday, though afternoon showers cut the pro-am short.
Lehman says other players are playing better right now but he also feels that if he's playing well, "I'm going to have a chance to win three in a row."
He has scored in the 60s in seven of the eight rounds since the Regions Tradition moved to the Jack Nicklaus-designed course at Shoal Creek.
