LSU Begins Practicing for Chick-fil-A Bowl

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- As the LSU football team returns to practice this week, there are signs the Tigers will be as deep as they've been all year when they take on Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Dec. 31.

LSU coach Les Miles says offensive linemen Josh Williford and Evan Washington, as well as linebackers Tahj Jones and D.J. Welter, will all return for the game.

Williford has been recovering from a concussion, and Washington, Jones and Welter all had to overcome academic issues to return.

Even with the increased reinforcements, Miles says the starting lineups likely won't be changed.

Miles says beating Clemson for an 11-win season will be no easy task.

The LSU coach says Clemson's Tajh Boyd "a very talented quarterback with a real strong arm."
