STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma State's newest softball assistant coach is Kelsi Dunne, the ace pitcher who led Alabama to the Women's College World Series three times.
Coach Rich Wieligman announced Wednesday that Dunne would replace former assistant coach Clarisa Crowell, who left the Cowgirls last month to become the head coach at Miami (Ohio).
Dunne took the Crimson Tide to the Women's College World Series in 2008, 2009 and 2011 and was voted an All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association four times. She was also a two-time Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Year.
The team she left at Alabama went on to win the school's first Women's College World Series this year.
Dunne spent last season as a volunteer assistant coach at Mississippi State.
Oklahoma State made the WCWS in 2011.
