Canty, Bowers lead Auburn to 83-77 win over Alabama

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Cinmeon Bowers scored 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead Auburn to its second straight big win, 83-77 over Alabama on Tuesday night.
Kareem Canty poured in 25 points for the Tigers (9-8, 3-3 Southeastern Conference), who won the rivalry game three days after pulling off an upset of No. 23 Kentucky. Canty made 5 of 8 3-pointers after scoring 26 against the Wildcats.
The Crimson Tide (10-7, 1-4) led by 10 points in the first half but wound up losing its second straight game since handing South Carolina its first loss of the season.
Retin Obasohan scored 27 points for Alabama, which had three players foul out in the final minutes.
