Georgia hires Jeremy Pruitt as defensive coordinator

The Georgia Bulldogs have hired former Florida State coach Jeremy Pruitt as their new defensive coordinator. Pruitt spent a single season with the Seminoles and helped coach them to a BCS National Championship title.
Pruitt is replacing Todd Grantham, who left the Bulldogs to accept the defensive coordinator position at Louisville.
Pruitt is expected to make $850,000, a jump from the $500,000 he earned while at Florida State.
