AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn guard Alex Thompson and center Ronald Delph have taken an "indefinite leave of absence" from the basketball team, coach Bruce Pearl announced in a statement Friday.
Thompson played in 20 games and averaged 1 point and 1.5 rebounds per game in nearly 8 minutes per game. He was awarded a scholarship in January by then-coach Tony Barbee.
Delph (7-0, 235 pounds) did not play last season after arriving late on campus.
