TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Carson Tinker's a three-time BCS national champion, he's been honored by governor Robert Bentley and he's in prime position to earn a full-time gig with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
As he prepared for the NFL Draft and gone through off-season training activities with the Jaguars, the former Alabama long snapper worked to add another title to his resume: author.
Tinker confirmed to AL.com on Monday that he's writing a book about the emotional roller coaster he experienced during the Crimson Tide's 2011 season. It is being published by B&H Publishing Group, which could begin accepting pre-orders as soon as September, Tinker said.
"It will be from the tornado until we beat LSU in the BCS game," Tinker said in an interview with Jaguars.com. "It will cover a little bit about me growing up, the tornado, how the city came back, how I came back."
