TROY, Ala. – The Troy football team took to the field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday for its first full scrimmage of the spring season to close out its third week of workouts.
The Trojans went through 80 offensive snaps to go along with kick coverage as coaches got their first glimpse of players in full game-type situations.
“The effort was ok in today’s scrimmage,” head coach Larry Blakeney said. “I thought the defense sort of took a good day and went backwards a little bit. I thought we had some guys do some good things running the ball.”
With the completion of Saturday’s practice, Troy will now have just two weeks remaining in the spring slate before hitting the field for the annual T-Day Spring Game on April 20 at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Troy’s practices will continue at 3:30 on Tuesday and Thursday, with Saturday workouts beginning at 10 a.m. All practices are open to the public unless otherwise noted.
Season tickets for Troy's five home games in 2013 are currently on sale by visiting the Troy ticket office online at TroyTrojans.com, by calling 1-877-878-WINS or in person at the Tine Davis Fieldhouse.
