Field Announced for Downtown Dothan Hoops Classic

The field is set for this year's Downtown Dothan Hoops Classic. 16 teams will converge on the Dothan Civic Center to compete for the Hoops Classic title.

The tournament begins on December 26th with four first round games, and continues through New Year's Eve. No games will be played on December 30th, which is a Sunday.

As usual, the majority of proceeds will go back to local schools. To date, the City of Dothan has dispersed nearly $150,000 to participating programs.

There will be a new feature at this year's event; a new playing surface. The City of Dothan will install a new floor in the Civic Center for the tournament.

Barbour County is in the field once again this season, attempting to defend it's back-to-back tournament titles. The first round match-ups are listed below:

Wednesday, December 26th

Ashford vs. Barbour County - 3:30 p.m.
Geneva vs. Abbeville - 5 p.m.
Northview vs. Malone - 6:30 p.m.
Headland vs. Providence Christian - 8 p.m.

Thursday, December 27th

Slocomb vs. Dale County - 3:30 p.m.
Wicksburg vs. Eufaula - 5 p.m.
Dothan vs. Rehobeth - 6:30 p.m.
Houston County vs. Houston Academy - 8 p.m.
