MIAMI (AP) -- A fan ran onto the field during play in the first quarter of the Florida State-Miami game on Saturday night.
Florida State was running a play when the male fan, dressed in a T-shirt and shorts, darted from the Seminoles' sideline and onto the field during play, waving his arms and gesturing. Game officials conferred and decided to let the play stand. It had resulted in a Florida State first down.
The man continued running after the play and was eventually tackled in the back of an end zone, about 70 yards from where he entered the field. He was escorted off the field by police officers and security personnel.
