The Russell County Girls Basketball Team knew what to expect entering Tuesday's 5A Regional Semifinal at the Dothan Civic Center. The Warriors still couldn't stop it.
Faith Academy's Jasmine Rhodes put on a show, scoring 32 points, including 24 in the first half, leading the Rams to a resounding 76-43 win. With the victory, the Rams advanced to the 5A Regional Final on Friday at 9 a.m. against B.C. Rain.
Rhodes outscored the Warriors by herself in the first half, scoring 24 points to Russell County's 23. And, she did it efficiently, hitting 12-of-17 shots, including all three of her 3-point shots.
Areal Carter led Russell County with 14 points. Russell County ends the year with a 12-11 record.
