Enterprise Football Team to Face Bob Jones at Champions Challenge

Daniel Boyette | dboyette@al.com

MADISON, Alabama -- When it came to getting a chance to play in the Champions Challenge, the third try turned out to be a charm for Bob Jones.

The Patriots were invited to play in the Montgomery-based preseason game the past two seasons, but had to decline due to a contract with the Madison Bowl. Those obligations are now fulfilled, and Bob Jones will take on Enterprise at the Cramton Bowl the week before the start of the regular season.

"It's a great opportunity for our program," Patriots coach Kevin Rose said. "I think anytime you can play on a statewide stage like that against a quality opponent like Enterprise it will do nothing but make us better down the road. And I think (Enterprise coach) David Faulkner is one of the best football coaches in the state."
