Vigor running back DeSherrius Flowers and Shades Valley defensive lineman Daron Payne were the highest ranked Alabama players on the ESPN Junior 300, a list of the country's top recruits for the Class of 2015.
Flowers (6-1, 200), an Alabama commitment, is ranked 22nd after rushing for 922 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. Payne (6-3, 324), ranked 30th, had a bench press max of 395 pounds as of May. He has offers from Alabama and Auburn, among others.
Also in the top 100 is Madison Academy running back/defensive back Kerryon Johnson at No. 62. Johnson (6-0, 175) ran for 1,784 yards and 28 touchdowns, and recorded 67 tackles and four interceptions while helping lead the Mustangs to a Class 3A championship. He has offers from numerous schools, including Alabama and Auburn.
