(Dothan)-- While American-born players dominated the Singles Main Draw in the middle part of the week for the 13th Annual Dothan Pro Classic, the singles final came down to China's Shuai Zhang and Croatia's Ajla Tomjlanovic.
Zhang won the first set 6-2. It looked as though Tomjlanovic had the second set in hand before letting Zhang hang around.
"It felt like I kept thinking about a match from yesterday," said Tomjlanovic.
"I had a really slow start but then in the second set I thought this was the exact same feeling I had yesterday and I just kept fighting and pulled it out," she said.
Ajla Tomjlanovic took the second and third set 6-4, 6-3, to win the 2013 Dothan Pro Classic. Tomjlanovic was presented with a check for $7,600 and has a chance to earn the Wild Card in the French Open.
In doubles, it came down to the #1 and #2 seed. Irina Falconi and Maria Sanchez played Julia Cohen and Germany's Tatjana Malek for the doubles title.
The championship doubles match went to a grueling three set tie-breaker which was won by the second-seeded Cohen and Malek.
Julie Cohen and Tatjana Malek win your 2013 Dothan Pro Classic doubles championship 6-4, 4-6 [11-9].
