Dothan Native Kyle Cornelius Wins 13-14 Year-Old Future Masters Title

DOTHAN, AL -- Every local golfer dreams of the same thing; winning a championship at the Future Masters. Dothan's Kyle Cornelius can add his name to the select club of players to do exactly that.

Cornelius followed a first round -5, 65 with solid rounds of +1, 71 and even par 70 to capture the 13-14 Year-Old title at the Dothan Country Club. He trailed by one stroke after the first round, but watched other challengers fade over three rain-affected days.

Cornelius won by two strokes over Garrett Barber. Fellow Dothan native Hal Dove entered the final round in contention, but shot a +7, 77 over his final 18 holes to finish in a tie for seventh place.
