NEW YORK (AP) -- Bob Costas will receive the Vin Scully Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports Broadcasting.

The longtime NBC Sports broadcaster who has won Emmy Awards for news, sports and entertainment, will be honored May 9.

Costas has worked 10 Olympic Games, hosted six Super Bowls and has won 24 Emmys. Currently, he hosts "Football Night in America," continues to be the host of NBC's Olympics coverage and contributes to "Nightly News," "Rock Center" and the "Today Show." He also appears on HBO and the MLB Network.
