TROY, Ala.-Charles Henderson linebacker Richard McBryde will wear orange and navy blue for a few more years. Early Saturday morning, the rising senior committed to the Auburn Tigers.
McBryde used Twitter to break the news. He tweeted, "I'm officially committed to Auburn University."
McBryde says he was going to commit next week on television but decided to get it out of the way instead. He called head coach Gus Malzahn on Friday to break the news.
McBryde is a 4-star prospect. 247Composite rankings rates him the No. 18 outside linebacker in the country.
McBryde passed up offers from Alabama, Florida and LSU among several others.
As a junior, McBryde racked up 86 tackles and six sacks. The Alabama Sports Writers Association named him the class 4A Lineman of the Year.
He's the 19th commit for Auburn's class of 2015.
