OZARK, AL -- Carroll High forward Jason Siples has made his college choice. The Eagles big man is bound for the JUCO ranks, signing on Monday with Chattahoochee Valley Community College.

Siples spent his career with the Eagles as a defensive enforcer, and he plans to continue that trend for the Pirates over the next two years.

"I can run the floor and block shots," Siples said. "I think I'll probably fit in better at the four position.

"I've been wanting to do this since my freshman year, when I first started playing. It means a lot to me."

Siples averaged more than 12 points, seven rebounds and a whopping seven blocks per game as a senior. He joins one of the top JUCO teams in the state, as CVCC posted a 24-8 record this past season, including a 14-1 record in conference play.
