PANAMA CITY, FL -- Bay High School senior Thomas Johnstone has verbally committed to play baseball at Berry College in Georgia.

Johnstone is Bay's team captain, playing third base and outfield for the Tornadoes. Now, he's ready to take his game to the next level for Berry in the coming years.

“Playing college ball has been my passion since childhood,” Johnstone said.

Bay Head Coach Daniel Davidson wasn't surprised by Johnstone's decision, watching the senior develop into one of the top players in Panama City over the past few years.

"The hard work and dedication to become the player he is has been admirable," Davidson said. "I am extremely proud and excited for this opportunity for him.”

Berry College is a comprehensive liberal-arts college with Christian values. Berry emphasizes an educational program committed to high academic standards, values based on Christian principles, practical work experience and community service in a distinctive environment of natural beauty.
