AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn's season opener against Arkansas will kick off at 3 p.m., the SEC Network announced Thursday.
The game was scheduled to air on the new SEC Network for several weeks, but its kickoff time was not revealed until Thursday.
The SEC Network released its schedule of games for the first four weeks of the upcoming season. All 14 schools in the SEC will host a game on the network during that time.
“The fact that the SEC Network will originate a game from every stadium in the conference in the first four weeks of the 2014 season is testament to the depth of coverage fans can expect from the network,” SEC commissioner Mike Slive said in a statement “In just the first month of the season, fans that get the network will enjoy all the passion and pageantry of SEC football from 14 of the greatest venues in the world of sports. This is what the SEC Network is all about.”
The SEC Network will be distributed by Dish Network, AT&T U-Verse and Google Fiber when it launches launch Aug. 14. The network is working to secure regional cable providers before its launch date.
