MOBILE, Ala. – Former Auburn defensive end Dee Ford and former Tiger kicker Cody Parkey have already earned some Senior Bowl hardware.

After five days of practice, Ford was named the most outstanding defensive lineman and Parkey was named the most outstanding specialist. Defensive back Chris Davis and fullback Jay Prosch also got high marks, though neither won an individual award.

Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald was named the most outstanding all-around player.

Ford said the practices, which is where players have the most opportunity to impress NFL scouts and coaches, were a unique experience.

“It was fun, but it’s a business trip for me,” Ford said. “It’s real different when you have all kinds of scouts out there with their eyes on you. You are just doing everything you can to impress the scouts.”

Parkey said there has been no time for rest, even after a 14-game senior season.

“I had to start working on kicking NFL balls, which are a little different,” Parkey said. “I feel like I’m kicking well.”

The 65th Senior Bowl kicks off Saturday at 3 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
