AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn will participate in several exhibition games in the Bahamas and will also begin a home-and-home series with Clemson next basketball season as coach Tony Barbee continues to try to upgrade the program's nonconference schedule.
The Tigers' non-conference schedule came under fire last season, when they finished last in the SEC and were 6-7 against a nonconference schedule that ranked 293rd nationally.
Dates are still being worked out, but the Tigers will host Clemson this upcoming season, Barbee said Monday during the SEC coaches' annual summer teleconference with reporters.
Auburn will play Illinois at Philips Arena in Atlanta, and the Tigers will also host Boston College. Dates have not yet been announced.
