Auburn defensive end Dee Ford is expected to miss the season opener against Washington State. The senior suffered a knee injury during fall camp and has not practiced since.
When asked on Monday, Defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson said there is "no question" Ford won't play on the 31st. He is expected to be out for even longer than that.
Ford led Auburn in sacks in 2012 and is expected to start on the left side of the defensive line.
