AUBURN, Alabama -- If Rhett Lashlee has it his way, Auburn's quarterback race will end in mid-August.
Well, that's at least what he's hoping for as the offensive coordinator's four quarterbacks officially begin battling for the starting job Aug. 2.
"The most important thing is getting it right," Lashlee said Friday. "If you get it right, everything else will fall in place. What you don't want to do is try to rush to get it done so quick that you get it wrong."
Incumbents Jonathan Wallace and Kiehl Frazier will face off against newcomers Nick Marshall and Jeremy Johnson, who arrived on campus this summer. Marshall arrived June 24, and is doing well in captain practices, according to teammates. Johnson, a freshman, arrived for the first summer session in May.
