AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Auburn's first practice under coach Gus Malzahn was all about speed.
Malzahn says he told the players after Wednesday's initial spring practice that "the main thing is we just have to learn how to practice at the pace and the intensity and the tempo both offensively and defensively."
The Tigers are implementing his no-huddle offense. Wide receiver Quan Bray says trying to run a play within three seconds "is totally different."
The first practice included some position shuffling.
Bray worked some as a wildcat quarterback. Defensive end LaDarius Owens is practicing at linebacker, and Malzahn says he will have a good shot of playing.
Malzahn said he didn't spend much time with quarterbacks Kiehl Frazier and Jonathan Wallace since he's trying to get a "big-picture view" of the team.
