AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn signee Jason Smith plans to attend Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy this fall as tries to improve his test scores, according to AuburnUndercover.com.
The McGill-Toolen High athlete was expected to compete for the starting quarterback job at Auburn this fall. His high school coach would not confirm the report when contacted by AL.com Sunday.
Smith told AuburnUndercover.com he will enroll at the prep school in the fall.
Fork Union Military Academy has received Smith's transcript, but his apparent intentions to enroll at the school is "not really confirmed," Fork Union coach John Shuman told AL.com.
