(OZARK)-Carroll High School's summer volleyball camp had a surprise coach. Former Eagle standout Eysha Ambler returned to help provide tips to current players.
Ambler graduated from Carroll with the Class of 97' and is currently an assistant volleyball coach at Auburn.
Ambler's been coaching in the college ranks for the last 10 years with stints at the University of Pittsburgh and Tennessee State.
"It's nice to be able to give back. It's my first time back in the area in a long time," said Ambler.
Carroll 2nd year head coach Melanie Mularz was thankful to have Ambler stop by and give some tips.
"It's so nice for the girls to have an opportunity to see a living role-model who went on to play and coach at a Division level from here at Carroll," said Mularz.
Mularz took over mid-way through last season and says the girls didn't finish as well as they would of liked. Going into their 2nd season she's excited and said this camp has been a huge benefit.
"Its actually been amazing seeing them for the past two days, they've come together as a team," said Mularz.
"They're working together, they're communicating. They are building friendships and I don't think they realize it," she said.
