ASHFORD, AL -- The wind was blowing out during Wednesday's matinee match-up between softball rivals Ashford and Rehobeth. Both teams took advantage, putting on an offensive show in front of a standing room only crowd.
Jessica Vann ended a dramatic 10-inning game, slugging a two-run walk-off home run to give the Yellow Jackets an 11-10 victory. It was Vann's second home run of the game.
Ashford was in control of the game for most of the day, only to watch a comfortable lead slip away in the final inning. Rehobeth scored six runs in the seventh inning, including a game-tying homer from Dayla Gulledge to force extra innings. Gulledge homered twice on the day as well.
