ArDarius Stewart and Daniel Carlson Earn All-American Honors

Alabama commit ArDarius Stewart and Auburn commit Daniel Carlson have both been named to the MaxPreps 2012 Small Schools All American Football Team.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Stewart accounted for 52 touchdowns this year on passes, runs and returns for Fultondale High in suburban Birmingham. He rushed for 1,988 yards this year and finished his career with 138 touchdowns. He was named Metro Player of the Year by The Birmingham News.

Stewart was named to the first-team Small School list as an all-purpose player. The quarterback on the first team was Will Grier of Davidson Day (N.C.) High School. He led the nation with 5,785 passing yards, including 837 in one game.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Carlson was named the second-team kicker. The senior from Classical Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., booted 10 field goals and had 54 kickoffs for touchbacks.
