TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama's best players won't be found anywhere near the top of the Southeastern Conference in rushing, receiving, tackles or sacks.

The top-ranked Crimson Tide is spreading the wealth widely so far, partly because it has been able to substitute heavily in four straight blowouts.

Coach Nick Saban says this Alabama team "doesn't have as many defined stars as we've had in the past."

Or maybe he just hasn't needed anybody to produce those kind of stats.

Alabama has had 10 players carry the ball, 15 catches passes, 16 record tackles for loss and 10 with at least a share of a sack.

The Tide has played 10 freshmen and 11 redshirt freshmen.

It has helped keep players like Eddie Lacy, C.J. Mosley and Robert Lester from putting up big numbers.
