Alabama LB Trey DePriest Suspended For WVU Game

By  |

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — The Alabama football team is reasonably healthy, but it will be without a starter for another reason.

Senior middle linebacker Trey DePriest was suspended "for a minor NCAA infraction," coach Nick Saban said Wednesday. No further details were provided about the specific rule violated.

He'll be available for the second game of the year against Florida Atlantic. DePriest had been injured for part of the preseason camp.

Junior Reggie Ragland and sophomore Reuben Foster will be the starters for the 2:30 p.m. Saturday game with West Virginia. Shaun Dion Hamilton and Dillon Lee will be the backups.
