OZARK, AL -- Local teams got off to a rough start at the ACCC State Baseball Tournament in Ozark. Wallace, L.B. Wallace and Enterprise State lost their first three games on Saturday, each falling into the loser's bracket.

Things got better on Sunday, as the Govs and Saints survived, with L.B. Wallace actually knocking ESCC out of the field. The good fortune continued on Monday, as Wallace and LBW both stayed alive.

Wallace beat Snead State 6-4 in an elimination game on Monday morning. The Saints followed with a 6-3 win over Chattahoochee Valley, knocking the Pirates out of the tournament.

The Govs will return to action at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, facing the winner of Monday's late game between Shelton State and Central Alabama. L.B. Wallace will face Wallace-Hanceville to start the day at 12:30 p.m.

Southern Union will play in the winner's bracket game on Tuesday night against the winner of Shelton State and Central Alabama. The winner of Tuesday's late game will advance to the championship game on Thursday.
