TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Before Amari Cooper was the player who caught two touchdowns in Alabama's 33-14 victory over Ole Miss, he was the name that just kept coming up.

At SEC Media Days, he was a player that Nick Saban singled out as a potential playmaker in a receiving corps that was without its top two targets from the previous season. During one of his first post-practice press conferences of fall camp, Saban, unprompted, mentioned Cooper among the likes of quarterback AJ McCarron and right tackle D.J. Fluker as someone who was performing with the proper consistency, "which is really important to being successful."
