Nick Saban confirmed news about Alabama cornerback Eddie Jackson's knee injury on Monday. Saban did not comment on the severity of in the injury but ESPN reports Jackson tore his ACL.
Jackson injured his knee during a scrimmage on Saturday. It was a non-contact injury. The rising sophomore landed awkwardly after going up for a pass.
Saban released an official statement regarding Jackson on Monday.
"Eddie Jackson had an MRI Sunday which confirmed that he had ligament damage in his knee that required surgery. We have a great medical staff here and he will have the full support of everyone in the organization as he goes through the rehab process. We are confident Eddie will make a full recovery and be ready to go this fall."
The four-star recruit from Lauderdale Lakes, Florida was having a great spring. Saban went as far as to say Jackson was "probably our best corner."
