Here's a stat for you, the Houston Academy football team lost all 22 starters to graduation. That's right, all 22. I'm not sure I've ever heard of that before. But, that's situation over on the west side of Dothan.

Houston Academy is in focus as we count you down to kickoff. The Raiders went 9-2 last season and made it to the second round of the playoffs with all of those seniors.

Now, it's got to be a rebuilding year right? Well, the Raiders are used to winning. The team hasn't missed the playoffs since 2000.

But, the mission is clear for veteran head coach Jimmy Addison, find the players to fill the holes.

"A lot of times when you have guys that are experienced in positions,” Addison said, “some of the other guys don't step up and take an active role. Because, they feel like the guys already have an established position. Right now, everybody on our team knows they have an opportunity to step in and play."

The Raiders open at home on Friday August 27th against Montgomery Academy.
