MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Two University of South Alabama signees who enrolled in summer school have been dismissed from the basketball
South Alabama coach Ronnie Arrow announced Monday that Labree Sledge and Kuntari Nettles were dismissed after violating team and university rules. Details were not released.
Sledge, who attended Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas before
signing with the Mobile school in November, was a long-range threat
who averaged 9.8 points per game. The 6-foot-9 Nettles, a post
player, attended LeFlore High School in Mobile.
Arrow said the university felt it would be in the best interests
of the program and the two individuals to part ways at this time.
