MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Bobby Wyatt won his fourth consecutive Boys
State Junior Championship even if he couldn't match his impressive
second round.
The Mobile teenager followed up his tournament record 14-under
57 with a 70 in the final round to win the title Thursday at The
Country Club of Mobile. Nobody else has won the event more than
twice.
Wyatt, a University of Alabama signee, finished with an 18-under
195 for a six-shot win over Vestavia's Smylie Kaufman. Kaufman
finished with a 68.
Trey Mullinax of Mount Olive was third at 204.
Wyatt closed with a 30-footer for birdie on the final hole.
