Enterprise, AL- With high school football almost a month away there's a lot more changes than just the names on the rosters, this fall.
Some teams find themselves in different regions and others in a new classification altogether.
With some of those changes that cut right through the coffee, Covington county line the Opp bobcats have dropped a classification down from 4A to 3A region 2 with teams like Daleville, Geneva and Pike county.
"in all honesty people have come to me and asked me about dropping in a classification" Said Opp head coach Jack Whigham. "I think it's going to help us in most of our sports but it's going to hurt us in football....not that we're going to play lesser opponents we're going to play better opponents in my opinion.
Their coffee county counterparts the 2A Elba tigers didn't change regions,
Or classifications but will see several new teams come into their region as a part of the new alignment.
"Yeah, it's a whole new deal it's just us New Brockton and Samson that remain in region 2." Said Elba head coach Scott Rials."A lot of newcomers and i understand they're going to be pretty tough, you know Goshen, Red level a lot of those teams are real solid so we're looking froward to the new and different challenges."
