Are The Marlins No Longer A Problem?

MIAMI (AP) - Florida Marlins president David Samson says the
next 10 days will dictate whether the team will buy or sell at
baseball's trade deadline.

Samson is "disappointed" by what the Marlins have done this
season. Florida entered the year with playoff expectations, but the
Marlins resume play Friday at 42-46, 10 games behind NL East leader
Atlanta.

Samson has talked with team leaders Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla
and Cody Ross about the urgency of the 10-game homestand that
starts against Stephen Strasburg and the Washington Nationals on
Friday.

Samson says all the players "realize how important it is to get
rolling right now."
